Commissioned by the Equal Justice Initiative and conceptualised by artist Rayven Sheilagh D’Clark, Black Renaissance comprises five 2.8-metre-tall bronze sculptures. These powerful works honour anonymous figures, symbolising the hidden histories and overlooked contributions of Black individuals, while celebrating their enduring courage and resilience.

To achieve this, Maybrey Precision Castings produced 52 unique moulds and silicon bronze castings, using pioneering 3D scanning technology from Voxeljet AG to create printed sand moulds. These were paired with a bespoke running system, designed by the team at Maybrey, to help create five incredible sculptures of up to 2.5m in height.

A huge thanks to everyone who has been a part of this. We are incredibly grateful to the The Cast Metals Federation, CMF for recognising the innovation and dedication that made this possible.
